Event Overview
The Junior League of Richmond presents the 5th annual Touch a Truck. This event offers children a hands-on opportunity to explore heavy machinery and meet the people who build, protect and serve the Richmond community. Vehicles on display may include construction trucks, utility vehicles, emergency responders, tractor trailers, buses, and vintage cars. Children of all ages are allowed to creatively explore the trucks of all sizes with guidance from the respective professionals who explain the equipment and discuss the work they accomplish with such machinery. The event also includes activities such as food vendors, face painting, inflatables, crafts, and a bazaar of local vendors.
Attendance
The community-at-large is invited to attend. In past years, attendance has exceeded 2,000 participants. Given this success and plans for adding more fun, we are relocating the event to RIR in order to accommodate the growing number of attendees and participants. In addition, our new location will allow us to better serve children from the Junior League’s impact area in the East End of Richmond.
Tickets
Tickets may be purchased online here, by phone at 804.643.4887 or at the event. The Junior League also underwrites the cost of tickets for key families whom the ticket price may not otherwise be feasible.

- Family Pack - 4 tickets for $15
- Supporter Packet - $40 - includes Family Pack of 4 tickets/wristbands, 2 children's t-shirts, 2 children's construction hats, event map and 1 raffle ticket.
