The Junior League of Richmond is led by volunteers who have served our community with distinction. Members of the Board of Directors are selected by the Nominating Committee. The 16-person Board, led by our President, carries the legal and fiduciary responsibilities of the organization. Its role is to govern and ensure that the long-term direction of The Junior League of Richmond is established, implemented, and monitored.
The Board works cooperatively with the Management Team (led by the President-Elect, Vice Presidents, and Directors) to ensure the strategic direction of the League is executed properly. This is done across multiple advisory areas which include Membership, Community, Fund Development, Training Institute for Leadership Impact (TILI), Communications, and Finance. In addition, the Management Team oversees the day-to-day operations of The Junior League of Richmond, including deployment and proper management of League resources.
All of the members of the Management Team and Committee Chairs make up the Operating Committee (OPCO). The OPCO Committee ensures all League programs are consistent with our mission. This forum also exists for consultation on proposed League initiatives and projects.
