Last year's event raised over $53,000 to assist the League in its mission to promote voluntarism, develop the potential of women, and improve communities through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
 

Event Ticket Options

Luncheon tickets are $55.  Individual tickets for dinner are $75.  Tables of 10 are available for $675  prior to April 1st and $700 thereafter.  Patron level sponsor tickets are $90, which includes preferred dinner seating and recognition in the program. Friend level sponsor tickets are $135, which include a cocktail reception with the authors, preferred dinner seating and recognition in the event program. Gallery seats, which will not include dinner, are available for $30.  A cash bar will be available at both events.  

The Internal Revenue Service allows a tax deduction on the amount paid for tickets that exceeds the fair market value of the goods and services received. The Junior League of Richmond has established a fair market value of $35 per person for dinner or lunch at this event.  The amount paid for each person that exceeds $35 is considered a tax deductible donation. The dinner gallery ticket is fully tax deductible.

Raffle Prizes

Enter to win a Table of Ten at the 71st Book and Author Event Dinner Program or a beautiful 14 karat white gold diamond pave disc pendant from Diamonds Direct.  The pendant contains a total of 0.51 carat of round brilliant cut diamonds and is valued at $1500.  

Winners will be announced the night of the dinner after the author program.  If a winner is not present to receive the prize, he/she will be notified on Thursday, April 30th.

Your company can make a difference in connecting community needs, resources, and volunteers in the greater Richmond community by committing to a corporate or advertising sponsorship for the 2015 Book & Author Event.  The Junior League of Richmond’s Book & Author Event offers a variety of sponsorship levels and packages, which provide notable exposure to national best-selling authors, League members, over 1,000 event attendees annually and to the community-at-large.
